Education Sponsorship Program

Transforming Lives through Education and Empowerment

In Uganda, access to quality education remains a significant challenge, especially for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. While 96% of primary school-aged children enroll in primary education, only 67% complete it. Of those, just 24% transition to secondary school. The barriers to continuing education include high school fees, early marriage, teenage pregnancy, and social inequalities, which disproportionately affect girls. Alarmingly, fewer than half of those completing primary school attain literacy. Without sufficient education, these children are left without the skills they need to escape the cycle of poverty, hindering Uganda's progress toward becoming a middle-income country.

The Education Sponsorship Program is designed to address these challenges by providing talented but underserved children and youth with the financial and educational support they need to continue their studies. Our program identifies gifted individuals from all regions of Uganda and offers them scholarships that cover school fees, uniforms, learning materials, and additional support to ensure their academic journey is uninterrupted.

Beyond financial aid, the program integrates experiential learning through the Bantu Cultural Troupe. Students not only receive formal education but also develop skills in performing and creative arts. These activities enhance their personal development, boost their confidence, and allow them to express their talents while acquiring essential soft skills like teamwork, communication, and leadership.

In addition to arts training, the Education Sponsorship Program empowers students with vocational and entrepreneurial skills, preparing them for life beyond school. By providing a holistic education that includes practical skills development, we ensure that our beneficiaries are equipped to become self-reliant, contributing members of society who can create their own opportunities and positively impact their communities.
