(Deputy MD Finance and Corporate Strategy NW&SC), Sylvia Tumuhairwe is the Director Finance and Accounts (Director F&A) National Water and Sewerage Corporation. She is a Chartered Accountant and holds Master of Business Administration (MBA First Class/Distinction) from Maastricht School of Management – The Netherlands specializing in Corporate Strategy and Economic Policy. She also holds Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance (Upper Second Class) from Makerere University-Uganda. She is a member of Association Chartered Certified Accountants – UK. She has also undertaken a number of short courses in the fields of Team Building & Supervisory Skills, Marketing of Services, Corporate Governance, Procurement, Improvement of Utility Management and Reduction of Unaccounted for Water, Customer Care & Marketing, and Effective Debt Collection & Credit Control among others. She has worked on a number of NWSC External services assignments providing technical assistance, advisory services and training. Her focus has mainly been on improvement of commercial and financial systems in Tanzania, Kenya, Ethiopia and Zambia
